On zoning Shanowen lands in Santry to allow for housing
Councillor Declan Flanagan proposed zoning the lands as Z6 (Employment/Enterprise) in the Dublin City Development Plan 2022-28. The chief executive proposed a Z10 zoning (Inner Suburban and Inner City Sustainable Mixed-Uses), which would allow for some housing development. In a roll-call vote councillors voted 56 against and 0 for the chief executive's recommended zoning.
