On de-zoning a strip of land next to Griffith Ave to provide access to DCU

Councillor Nial Ring proposed a motion to amend the Dublin City Development Plan 2022-28 to de-zone a 30m strip of land between Griffith Avenue and DCU lands, to provide access to those DCU lands. Councillors Eimer McCormack, Alison GIlliland, Patricia Roe, and the Green Party proposed motions to not make that change to the text and leave the lands zoned Z9. The chief executive proposed de-zoning a 10m strip of the land in question, to provide access to the DCU lands. Councillors voted against the chief executive's recommended revision of Councillor Ring's motion, 47 against, 10 for and one abstaining, leaving the lands zoned Z9.
